Prime Minister Sapar Isakov: "Kyrgyzstan is ready to build up the existing dynamics of political and trade-economic cooperation with Pakistan"
Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sapar Isakov in the city of Sochi of the Russian Federation today, December 1, in the framework of his participation in the 16th meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (IRP) Shahid Hakan Abbasi.
The Head of Government noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the further comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation with Pakistan on the whole range of mutual relations of mutual interest.
"Taking into account the intensification of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations that has been outlined in recent years, I reaffirm my readiness to further build up the existing dynamics of political cooperation with the practical implementation of the agreements reached. We positively estimate the resumption in January 2017 of the work of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, "Sapar Isakov said.
"Kyrgyzstan has a liberal legislative base for foreign investors. We invite large Pakistani corporations and private entrepreneurs to cooperate for the joint development of mineral deposits, renewable energy sources, processing of agricultural products, halal industries, light industry, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, as well as environmental tourism, "the Prime Minister added.
During the meeting, the Head of Government suggested that the Pakistani side consider the possibility of attracting state and commercial airlines of Pakistan to carry out the air route between the two countries. Sapar Isakov noted that there are favorable conditions for this, in particular, geographical proximity, a positive trend in the growth of mutual trade between the two countries, the interest of the business community of Kyrgyzstan and the IRP to establish direct contacts, which is increasing after the introduction of the "electronic visa" by the Government of Kyrgyzstan, the number of citizens of Pakistan , visiting with a tourist purpose Kyrgyzstan.
Also, Prime Minister Sapar Isakov, in order to develop and promote the entire complex of Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations, proposed to expand the bilateral legal framework and ratify previously signed intergovernmental agreements.
"We also confirm Kyrgyzstan's high interest in the speedy and successful practical implementation of the regional energy project CASA-1000," Sapar Isakov said.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Sapar Isakov suggested that Prime Minister Shahid Hakan Abbasi actively develop bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
"We invite the official and sports delegation of Pakistan to the III-World Games of the Nomads in 2018, initiated by the Kyrgyz side with the aim of establishing an intercultural dialogue," he concluded.
In turn, Prime Minister Shahid Hakan Abbasi invited the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic to pay a visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
In addition, in order to develop bilateral trade and economic relations and establish contacts, Shahid Hakan Abbasi suggested that Kyrgyz entrepreneurs meet with Pakistani colleagues.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed promising energy projects of interest to both Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
